Most wantedBlue Cave Trip
Out of the bay to the Blue Cave, where the light turns the water an electric blue, with a swim inside and a stop at the old submarine tunnels.
About this tour
The Blue Cave sits on the outer coast beyond the mouth of the bay. Sunlight enters below the surface and reflects off the pale sea floor, so the whole cave glows blue. We take you inside and, when the sea is calm, you can swim in it — it is the highlight of the day for most guests.
Getting there is half the trip. We run out through the Verige narrows, past the fortified island of Mamula and the old military tunnels cut into the rock where submarines once sheltered, and along cliffs you cannot see from the road.
This is a 2.5-hour trip, so bring a towel, sunscreen and water. Because the cave depends on sea conditions and light, we agree the departure time with you and will tell you honestly if the morning is not right for it.
